LETS TALK SKINCARE

Hi loves! Hope you all had a fabulous long weekend! New year, new me? new year new skin? I know that with a new year it comes new resolutions, and for a lot of us, taking care of our physical and mental health, it also comes along a little bit more of selfcare, and that’s why this week I wanted to talk to you about my skincare routine at the moment. What I have been loving lately, and my favorite skin care products. OK, let’s start off by saying that my skin care routine has changed A LOT over the years. Of course when I was in my 20s I did very little to my skin I had ‘perfect or pretty close to perfect’ skin! And what I mean by that is, I had no blemishes never had any acne issues, so I didn’t have much to worry about.. my routine was pretty much a little sunscreen and that was all. When I reached up my 30s I knew all of that needed to change, and that’s when I started doing a little bit more research as to how to take better care of my skin. I know, from a lot of you some people start really early, as early as their early 20’s, but that wasn’t the case for me. After I tturned 30, I really went in and researched and researched.. I knew I had combination skin (which is when the T-zone forehead, nose and chin is very oily, but the rest of your face is dry) with a little information I went ahead and started researching what products were best for me. I wanted to find a very light moisturizer for mornings and something to use at night time. After researching a bit, I got pretty overwhelmed with the amount of information available online, so I was a little bit confused at the time, then I decided to just schedule an appointment and go see a dermatologist. During my appointment, the Dr. wanted to know what were my main concerns (at the time, my main concerns were wrinkles, Ha!) We discussed it for a little bit, then she proceeded to recommended a few products that I should buy. She recommended for me to start on a retinol  routine. She said Retinol is good for reversing the signs of aging, and to decrease fine lines. said that would that would help me with smoothing of my few little ‘fainted fine lines’ and it will also help to bring my ‘glow back’ she also recommended a moisturizer for the morning with SPF, and a moisturizer/plumping cream for nighttime, she also said that I needed to start using vitamin C serum, in general she recommended 3 main things: 1: Moisturizer for morning and night 2: Vitamin C Serum. And 3: A Retinol cream. She said, she has some of those products for sale at her office, but to me they were a little bit pricey, so I decided to just go in research a little more and find more affordable options for me. At the moment I can’t remember exactly which was the brand of that first vitamin C serum and moisturizer I bought, but I know as I was getting older, that I needed something ‘stronger’ let’s say, so I’ve heard a friend of mine talking about these Tacha products, she was saying how much they changed her skin, and even though they are pricey I decided to try it on for myself. For my daily morning moisturizer I went with Origins Mega Bright SPF 30, and for nighttime I use Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer. I can say I’m pretty happy with how my skin is looking at the moment! I would love for you to share, what are your favorite skincare products at the moment?

Finally, i wanted to share my favorite face mask at the moment. This GlamGlow mask is what I use, I’d say once a week, when I want a little pampering. I love how my skin feels and looks after I use it!
